It was our second visit to Ming’s Pantry last night, and the food is superb! We ordered the hand wrapped chicken and prawn wontons, chicken wings, mee goreng mamas and roti with beef rendang. Every dish was absolutely beautiful, 10/10! We will definitely be back

If you’re in Canberra and craving Malaysian food, this spot is definitely worth checking out. The flavours are bang on, and you can tell they’re serious about using fresh, high-quality ingredients.I tried the char kuey teow, Hainanese chicken (without rice), and laksa. First up, the char kuey teow was a winner—smokey, chewy noodles with just the right amount of wok hei. The prawns were juicy, the bean sprouts added a nice crunch, and the whole thing had that perfect sweet-savoury balance. The Hainanese chicken was tender and juicy, with silky skin that was spot-on. Without the rice, it felt a bit like something was missing, but the flavours of the chicken itself and the accompanying sauces made up for it. Definitely light on quantity for the price, though. As for the laksa? Pure comfort in a bowl. The broth was creamy, spicy, and layered with flavour, while the noodles were cooked just right. It had generous pieces of chicken and prawns, though again, portions weren’t huge.At 18.80 for the laksa and similar prices for the others, it’s reflective of the quality, even if the servings are on the smaller side. But honestly, where else are you getting Malaysian food this good for under 20?This spot nails the authenticity and taste, even if you might not leave totally stuffed. Great for when you want something delicious and a bit special without blowing the budget.

This Malaysian restaurant is an absolute gem! Not only is the food incredibly tasty, but the atmosphere is also inviting and cozy. I've frequented this place with friends numerous times, and each visit leaves me craving more. The Singapore minced meat rice is a personal favorite, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. However, every dish on the menu is authentically delicious, making it difficult to choose just one. Moreover, the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant speak volumes about the owner's commitment to providing a top-notch dining experience. Their warm hospitality truly adds to the overall charm of the place. I highly recommend everyone to give this restaurant a try; you won't be disappointed!

A trusty and fairly affordable Malaysian restaurant in the CBD! I enjoyed all the dishes and felt they were cooked nicely. The roti was soft and chewy, chicken wings crispy. The gravy chicken chop was delicious and the laksa broth was not bad (the seafood could have been more flavourful for sure though). Definitely recommend the pandan leaf fried chicken.

I'm on a Hainanese chicken mission recently. Trying places in Canberra and it's early in my journey, but so far this is the best I've found outside KL and Singapore. Ordered at the counter and table service was quick and friendly. Chose to sit outside as it was a mild evening and it was stifling hot inside (I don't think it was solely due to my current perimenopause condition... Chef must have been sweating something chronic in there). I did get food envy when my partner's hon fat noodle came out but quickly got over it after trying my dish. A little salty (chef sweat? I don't care it was tasty) but full of flavour. Sticky tables and no bak kut teh on the menu were probably the only real down points. Mmmmm chicken rice.

Love the food! Prices are reasonable considering everything nowadays is so expensive. We had Nasi Goreng and Char Kway Teow. Really good, in fact - all other Malaysian restaurants - if you find you are losing clientele, it’s because Ming’s chefs are better, quicker and waiting staff are friendlier.Absolutely recommend this place. Just note opening days and times. They are busy weekdays lunch times but food is pretty quickly delivered to your table. Will be back with more friends.Came back many times and food quality and taste has remained great! Well done, Chefs!!Best char kway teow in Canberra

As Filipinos in Canberra, this is a gem. Authentic Asian food, flavourful and not spicy so it also caters to those who don’t like hot / spicy food.Best nasi we’ve tried outside of Malaysia / Singapore. :)Nasi Lemak 4/5Fried Rice with pork sausage and prawns 5/5Crispy Noodles 4.5/5 (just has 2 prawns)Sweet and sour chicken 2.5/5 (not their best and understandably so because it’s not originally Malaysian dish)Service was great. The lady serving us was very kind and attentive. Will go back for the fried rice definitely!
